Most of these sights are perfectly accessible without a guide and a good old map, if you do not have young kids in tow & are travelling in cooler months. Otherwise we recommend booking a tour with a certified tour agency, such as the Magic of Marrakech. So beware of scammers offering up 'help' or 'tours'. Turns out scam-artistry is a global phenomenon. Read MarocMama's invaluable advice on this topic.

Haggle a price with Horse-Carriage operators and head to Carre Eden Mall in Gueliz. These make a good alternative to taxis. The 'petit taxis' can legally only carry 3 persons. So you would need to watch out for 'grand taxis' which can carry more people.
